UOL and ART:DIS jointly launched an art exhibition at United Square, featuring the remarkable works of two artists from ART:DIS, Eugene Soh and Tay Bee Lian, from 14 April to 30 September 2023.

The artists had spent some weeks earlier to be trained on how to stage their own exhibition: from creating a theme to curating and displaying their paintings. Shoppers can purchase the digital prints of their artworks at $150 each by scanning the unique QR Code on each painting. There will be a second run of the art exhibition from 1 October 2023 to 31 March 2024, featuring two other ART:DIS artists.

“UOL has been championing inclusive arts with our community partner ART:DIS since 2014. This art exhibition at our mall is an effort to put the spotlight on the talent of these artists once again. We hope to help them gain confidence in presenting their works to the community through this showcase,” said Ms Sarah Ng, UOL General Manager (Corporate Communications, Investor Relations & Sustainability).

This initiative was made possible through leveraging the Group’s People, Assets and Partners. UOL is grateful to its partners, including various departments and long-time community partner ART:DIS, which empowers people with disabilities through art.

Eugene Soh will be conducting two workshops on 27 and 28 May 2023 for participants to pick up some abstract painting techniques. You can check out United Square’s social media in the month of May on how to redeem a pass for the workshop.
