Mr Liam Wee Sin, UOL Group Chief Executive and Ms Wee Wei Ling, PPHG Executive Director (Sustainability Partnerships, Lifestyle & Asset), received their third Champion of Good award on behalf of UOL and PPHG.
UOL was conferred its third Champion of Good award, the highest accolade by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre under its Company of Good programme. The award recognises UOL for its strong commitment to community service and philanthropy. Its hotel subsidiary, Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG), also clinched the same accolade this year.
The Group previously won this prestigious award in 2020 and 2022. Launched in 2017, the awards are made every two years and recognise organisations in Singapore that are exemplary in their corporate giving efforts and engage their stakeholders on a collaborative Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) journey.
UOL Group Chief Executive Liam Wee Sin accepted the award from Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat during an awards ceremony on 18 July 2024.
Mr Liam said: “We are deeply honoured to receive the Champion of Good award, which is a testament to our unwavering commitment to build an inclusive, cohesive and caring society. Over the years, UOL has been committed to giving back to the community. We leverage our people, assets and partnerships to support initiatives focused on children, youth, education, sports and the arts. In collaboration with various partners to amplify positive impact, the Group continuously strives to uplift communities.”
Last year, UOL received several accolades for its contributions to community building, including the prestigious Distinguished Patron of the Arts award and the Community Chest Awards 2023.
