Strengthening family bonds through fun and joy

A total of 88 ComLink+ children and families from Bukit Merah, volunteers from UOL, SingLand and PPHG, and their family members, took part in the preview of the National Family Festival 2026 for the third consecutive year. Families and children immersed themselves in a range of family-friendly activities, including bouncy castles and interactive booths, featuring sports try-outs organised by SportSG, as well as hands-on craft activities.

Celebrating creativity and inclusion

Fifteen seniors from AWWA Senior Community Home and 22 children from Care Corner Student Care Centres took part in a cross-beneficiary engagement activity, exploring the ‘More Art. Made Inclusive.’ art exhibition and joining an intergenerational 3D pen art workshop led by UOL volunteers. They produced a variety of 3D shapes and forms through a hands-on activity, with 21 UOL volunteers supporting and engaging participants throughout the session.

A recipe for fun for ComLink+ youths

About 20 ComLink+ youths residing in Boon Lay came together to whip up a bowl of Japanese comfort food, oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl), guided by chefs from Pan Pacific Singapore, with support from volunteers from UOL, PPHG, ComLink+ befrienders and the community club. The hands-on session helped build confidence and life skills among the youths.

Baking up a treat with ComLink+ youths

Over 20 ComLink+ youths residing in Boon Lay baked strawberry nutella macarons with support from UOL and community club volunteers. UOL also hosted a tea reception, where the youths presented the macarons to their parents—a heartfelt gesture in celebration of Mother’s and Father’s Day.

Creating meaningful family moments

A total of 65 participants including ComLink+ @ Jurong West families, and UOL and PPHG volunteers with their family members, enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at the National Family Festival 2025. The event featured engaging activities such as sports try-outs, team challenges and more. This marks the second year that UOL has joined this exclusive preview at the Singapore Expo.
