On 29 November 2024, 32 children from ComLink+* @ Jurong West had a thrilling day out at Marina Square. Accompanied by 16 UOL and Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) volunteers, the event was an unforgettable experience and a first-time adventure for many.
The outing began with a hearty lunch at Kenny Rogers Roasters. This was followed by a hands-on driving simulation play at VroomTown Driving City, where both children and volunteers buckled up to learn about road safety through engaging and fun-filled action.
The event was graced by Mr Desmond Lee, Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration, who participated in the activities with the children and even hopped into a car for a ride. UOL Group Chief Executive Liam Wee Sin and PPHG Executive Director (Sustainability Partnerships, Lifestyle & Asset) Wee Wei Ling connected with the children, contributing to the lively atmosphere.
*ComLink+ is an initiative by MSF to support families with young children living in rental housing. The Group has been supporting the initiative since 2023 through the launch of the UOL-PPHG Community Uplift Programme, which aims to provide the children from ComLink+ families with interesting and meaningful learning experiences.
